1. Can  FILOCETH^plus  be stored  frozen  to increase shelf lifetime?

No - the active ingredient of FILOCETH^plus develops its cell protecting effect at temperatures above freezing point. Therefore it is important to incubate cells and FILOCETH^plus prior freezing for 5 - 10 minutes!

FILOCETH^plus is manufactured with a proprietary methodology enabling its protective action. FILOCETH^plus looses this important cell membrane protecting capability upon freezing and thawing.

2. The color of FILOCETH^plus in the original bottle turned pink, can it still be used?

In FILOCETH^plus "Phenolred" is added as a pH-indicator. A pink color indicate an alkaline pH - pH sensitive cells must not be exposed to an alkaline environment.
